We are a registered dealer of Workcycles. The Bakfiets we sell from Henry are badged Workcycles and are built by Bakfiets.nl. We have never sold a "Bak-fake" or for that matter a Bakfiets for $2,000. Not sure who anonymous is, but this is the 4th blog or so that the exact same comment has been posted.

I can't be certain, but it's possible the Bakfiets shown are made by Workcycles. If so, I believe they are very well regarded by their owners.

They must not be compared with Bak-fakes. While there is a superficial resemblance, they are completely different.

Cowardly 'Anonymous' may not be being honest. It's impossible to be certain whether what he/she says is true. However, since wheelhousebikes.com offer 'WorkCycles' excellent Secret Service bicycles, it seems unlikely, because I'm pretty certain that were that to be the case, Henry of WorkCycles wouldn't deal with them. Henry has been very critical of the Bak-fakes, so, it seems reasonable to infer that 'Anonymous' is being dishonest.
That probably being the case, the reason for Anonymous' anonymity is to avoid being sued.
I suggest that somebody contact wheelhousebikes.com and Henry at WorkCycles and find-out the truth.

May I suggest that truly anonymous posts are stopped, perhaps you should log IP addresses.

Second, the deterrent to go to the store will not result in buying less food, it'll result in making fewer trips. So instead of making daily trips to the market and eating everything fresh, you'll be getting things with a longer shelf life instead of buying what you really want.

poit, if you want electric assistance, then you are a fat lazy American. While I agree about the smaller cargo box, the energy you have to expend to bring your groceries home will be a deterrent to buy to much. If you don't buy too much food, you cannot eat it, thus you become leaner. So with a unassisted power bike you will level out at a more fit state.

Dude, That is awesome. I am in a similar predicament, i dont drive, never have, no license. I am looking for a cheap way to procure something similar to what you made. What i want extra is a small electric motor to add some assistance and a smaller cargo tray in the front like yours. If you make it, It's cheap enough, I'd buy it!
